Via smartphones, Twitter feeds, and YouTube accounts, those on the ground were able to provide up to the minute information about the deposition of dictator Hosni Mubarak only to then continue to document the tumultuous result in far more detail than mainstream news has ever been capable. Never before has the world been able to bear witness to a revolution in real-time quite like this.
